Rec Play Report: Monday 24 Feb, 2025

Another excellent Rec Play night on Monday, with some truly exciting rallies taking place on both courts. We’ve occupied the two courts furthest away from the entrance now so we’re less interrupted by the kids popping in and out of their martial arts class. And while this led to some temporary confusion about which was Court 1 and Court 2, Helen also trialled a new innovation to spice up play a bit; 16 players were divided into two groups with the winner of each based on accumulated points promised a free Rec Play session as a result.

Chris won Group B with 42 points and Graham won Group A with a perfect score of 44 from four games (scores were capped at 11). Congrats to them both.

See you on the courts next time, with Rec Play coming up on Wednesday night and our first ever Holywood Pickleball Mini Festival — Picklefest 25! — on Sunday at 12.00.
